Christy grew up in Costa Rica and Utah, where she developed a love for adventure and the outdoors. Her interest in fitness started during college at Utah State University, where she took dance, aerobics, and started running as a hobby. After graduating with a degree in communications, Christy began her dream career as a Spanish court interpreter shortly after moving to Louisiana with her husband.
Health and fitness became increasingly important to her as she noticed more energy and a greater ability to accomplish tasks when she ate well and stayed active, especially during her first pregnancy. She began teaching Zumba and HIIT as a side hobby while raising her young kids.
In 2020, Christy joined Ironboot and was immediately hooked. She loved the physical challenges, the chance to learn new skills, and the friendly competition that made each day exciting—even with a busy mom schedule.
In 2021, Christy became a certified CrossFit Level 1 coach and found great joy in seeing the success of those she trained. Watching each person reach milestones they never thought possible continues to be one of her greatest passions.
Today, Christy is the Spanish interpreter at the Rapides Parish Court House, a mom of five (soon to be six!) children, a certified Level 2 CrossFit coach, and the new owner of Ironboot. She’s still just as hooked on the boot community as she was the first day she walked through the door!
